Hello

I didnt know where to put this so sorry if it is in the wrong spot.

I just wanted to say Hi.:-) I am new here & still finding my way around.

I am a 1st time mum. I have a baby girl, nearly 11mths(8mths corrected). She was born 3mths premmie so she is still quite small & weighs 6.8kg. She is half breast fed & half bottle feed (with expressed breast milk, she can be lazy at times so this is why I still express). I also have her on 3 solid meals a day, which I have not long started.

I look forward to reading everyone stories & getting to know you. :-)

Hi, I'm new here too.

Hi, I'm new here too. My little girl (Alyssa) is 6months old and growing at a frightening rate. She's almost 8Kgs and 70cm long. I am about to go back to work and its a scary thought sending her to daycare. She is going to have to go from pure breast fed to bottle as well. I hope she takes it ok!

Hi guys, I'm Kelly and

Hi guys, I'm Kelly and I have a 5month old baby boy named Caleb, we've just started on solids ( rice cereal) and I'm looking forward to starting him on some vege's. I'm also thinking about starting back at work, probably just one day a week in the evening's so daddy can look after the boy. I'm really lucky my work is very flexible.

Hi!

Isnt it nice to find

Hi!

Isnt it nice to find a place where we are all just fumbling along trying to be the best mums that we can and there are no experts!

I am Mum to a divine 10month old baby girl called Ava. I start back at work 2 days a week in 2 months time - out of necessity not want! I would happily roll around on the floor with Ava 7 days a week for the rest of my life but the bills need to be paid!

Hi everyone, My name is Cindy and I am a mother of 5. My eldest is 8 and my youngest is 29months old. I have 3 girls and 2 boys. My hubby is in the navy so I guess that explains my brood, 5 ,major deployments and I guess you can work out the rest. I just want to say Hi to everyone, and introduce myself. With working pretty much 24 hours a day (paid and at home) I really dont get a huge chance to meet many people.

Hi everyone. My little girl

Hi everyone. My little girl Imogen is 14 months old and I absolutely adore her. She has been walking since just after her first birthday and our favourite thing to do at the moment is to go for little walks along the driveway and up the street! I am due to go back to work in four weeks time. My plan is to go back three days a week, but I am having a little bit of trouble negotiating this with my employer. I am a bit surprised at this - I work for a very large company and I thought that they were going to be flexible.

Hi, I'm new to this

Hi, I'm new to this site. I have a 7month old little girl. Who I must say has been pretty good after all the scary stories (no sleep, wait till shes teething etc)I'm in my family business, so I've been at work pretty much since I had her but she comes with me I don't think I would have coped to well putting her in child care. So where abouts are all of you from?
Have a goog weekend
Nikki:-)

Hi there, I come from

Hi there, I come from Perth, we've been here for about 5 years now which is unusual with a sailor for a hubby. Prior to that we were in Adelaide, how about everyone else. Have a great weekend, Cindy

Hi Again,

Well I'm from North

Hi Again,

Well I'm from North Queensland, and going back to work a little cause I feel isolated and a little cause the bills need paying. I'm only starting 2 days a week and building from there as I am ready (I have a good boss!). We are struggling through teething at the moment, oh joy. Alyssa started getting teeth at 4 months and hasn't stopped since. At 6 months we now have 4 and the next ones are starting. Each time we just get back into sleeping through again and the it starts all over! I guess that is the joy of it and eventually they will all be through, can't wait for that day.

She really enjoys daycare though and as she is very active it gives me a rest and wears her out. We put her in as a trial before I go back so she is comfortable with the routine. Hope everyone is well.

Hi, just joined up. I

Hi, just joined up. I have two girls, 2 yrs and the other 8 mths old. I find this chat spot very interesting. Nice to know i'm not the only one going mad but being soooo happy at the same time. If there is anyone out there reading this and about to start solids, here's some advice. If the baby doesn't want to eat, let it go. Both my girls took to food at 8 mths instead of 6. In the end, i had to just mash family food and give it to them at the dinner table, salt, stock, tom paste, herbs, you name it. They just didn't want 'baby food'. I'd like to have more children and now after two late starters, if the baby is not showing any signs of wanting solids, i'm going to leave it until they wake at night, be it at 6 mths or 8 mths. I also noticed alot of mums saying they have to go back to work, one in particular not wanting to. I'm in the reverse situation. I am able to stay at home for as long as i want, but after 2 yrs of it, i'm feeling a little bit brain dead. I used to have such a quick maths mind but i now find myself struggling to do simple calculations (as in totalling bills and stuff like that). Is it true that your brain turns to mush when you become a mum? I certainly am feeling it.X-(

Hi there, i guess it

Hi there, i guess it must be true that our brains turn to mush when our little ones turn up. The amount of times my 8 year old comes up to do her maths homework (which is pretty simple for an 8 yr old), I find i have to think and rethink the answers, she normally gets it before i do. I reckon its because your brain is constantly on other matters such as bubba's next feedtime, what the family is having for dinner,is the house clean for that unexpected guest etc etc. I have three at school at the moment (well 2 at school & 1 at kindy) my fourth little darling starts next year (if she can wait that long) and my lucky last little man starts 2 years after that. I am not looking forward to my little man starting school thats for sure, i guess it means that they're no longer babies and their growing up. Oh well cant stop the expected...................Hope everyone is well and enjoying life.....:-)

Hi Diljen,

I read somewhere that

Hi Diljen,

I read somewhere that our brains don't turn to mush they are just busy expanding in capacity, so apparently they are just closed during the renovations (LOL). We have now run into the cold you get after starting daycare, and Alyssa has seen fit to share it with the household, nothing like being back at work two weeks and having to have a day off sick (lucky I have a good boss!). Hope everyone else is faring better.
